Can you identify this plant?

What is this plant? Posted by Picasa

I've had this plant growing in recent gardens for several years now. I have no idea what it is called. It has a herbal scent when you rub it between your fingers and has now flowered with these beautiful lavender coloured spiky flowers. It looks like a succulent but it isn't. It is so tough that it would survive any climate.

  • The flowers look like some sort of sage... not sure.

  • looks like a relative of lamb's ear or a mullein. are the leaves soft/furry/fuzzy?

  • Hi Jen, I live in Perth and we get this plant with white flowers, I reckon it is a weed and try to get rid of it, but it is tough, tough, tough and survives all my diggings up.
