Louis - our 3 year old dog. He is a joy despite being very arrogant. Mostly he is playful and very loving.

Here is a close look at the detail. I have used acrylic paint and couched a variety of threads, wool and fabric scraps over the piece. I then stitched it and finally melted some parts. I am happy with the texture that has been created.

A Textile Piece

An untitled work in paint, fabric, couching and melting. I enjoyed making this small piece (approximately 5" x 7") for a friend who is moving to a new home.

Creating Book Covers

I've been busy making book covers. These are studies of technique and colour. I made lace stitched over scraps of fabric with romeo water soluble stabiliser and then stitched the piece onto fabric to make the cover.

Memories of Norway

This cover was inspired by my time in Norway visiting a friend's home that is surrounded by glaciers and overlooks a beautiful lake that is filled with glacial waters that look turquoise. The wildflowers were abundant and we spent much time picking them to enjoy inside the house. At all time we listened to the roar of the waterfalls continually flowing down from teh melting glaciers.
