Those things we have to do...

No photos today, but a few thoughts on my day. I've been procrastinating on some work and have had every excuse in the world for not doing it. It will take too long - it isn't really worth doing - the benefits will never be equal to the enormity of the task - and any other excuse I could think of.

Yesterday I was given a definite deadline which is always a good reason to do something that I have been putting off. Doing the actual work today has given me a renewed appreciation for the actual 'process' and just how much I can learn from the 'doing'.

Although the work didn't seem to be important and seemed too big a task to take on, I have just enjoyed a day of learning more than I ever expected...

A recent pastel drawing of mine. I've always been inspired by the garden and love to take my artistic inspiration from nature. I really like to explore the way we humans like to try and control nature in our gardens but never completely succeed in taming the natural way. Posted by Hello

The beauty of blue and white - a favourite colour combination of mine. Posted by Hello

It's spring here in Roma and one of the great joys of my life are spending time in my garden. Here are some pics of my garden. It is quite new but it is coming along. I find the garden to be very inspirational. Posted by Hello

Welcome!

It's a lazy afternoon, with the clouds heavy in the sky. I wonder if they are heavy enough or if we will wait in vain for rain once more? Rain does not come easily in Roma.

I travel a lot of country roads for my job and see a lot of dry countryside. Life is always busy for those who make their living off the land.

Sometimes the roads seem to go on forever. Posted by Hello
